Gabourey Sidibe
Who thought PRECIOUS star Gabourey Sidibe wouldn't work again?

Who ever thought Precious star Gabourey Sidibe would ever work again? I mean she's fat. She's Black. She's dark-skinned. She's fat. And at the moment she has little fashion sense. And did I mention she's fat. These characteristics are all most people see when they look at Gabbie. But I beg to differ.
Howard Stern is quoted as saying:
"There's the most enormous, fat black chick I've ever seen. She is enormous. Everyone's pretending she's a part of show business and she's never going to be in another movie" ... "She should have gotten the Best Actress award because she's never going to have another shot. What movie is she gonna be in?"
Really Howard? Well Stern and many others have already been proven wrong. Sidibe has already signed on for one television series and a film. Showtime Networks will be premiering a new original series titled The Big C. It stars Oscar nominee and Golden Globe winner, Laura Linney, as a suburban mother and housewife whose recent cancer diagnosis makes her re-examine her life and shake it up a bit. While trying to find new hope in her life Linney is dealing with a loving but highly immature husband (played by Oliver Platt) and Sidibe is one of her smart-mouthed students in her class. The show is currently in production and is set to air this Summer.
Film: Precious based on the novel Push

PRECIOUS is a new film that is co-executive produced by the billionaire boss lady herself Oprah Winfrey along with movie mogul Tyler Perry. Precious is based on the 1996 Sapphire novel titled Push. The story is an inspirational tale of an overweight African-American teenage girl nicknamed Precious (Gabourey Sidibe) who rises above poverty, pregnancy and physical abuse to find redemption. Precious' mother is played by Mo'Nique who is already gaining Oscar buzz for her role as the abusive mother Mary. Mariah Carey also appears in this movie but not like you would expect her to. She ditches her well-known glamorous looks, makeup, and fancy clothes to play a social worker.
