Synopsis:  Politics makes strange bedfellows, but never stranger than when a month before the 2008 U.S. Presidential election, a beautiful, idealistic local Obama volunteer coordinator reluctantly falls for her Republican counterpart: a sexy, savvy, African American conservative. Sparks fly, tempers flares, heads turn, and romance blossoms for this mismatched pair of campaigners in the frantic and intoxicating days leading up to Election Day. Can the politics of love conquer all?

I have already gone on record stating that this was  a good movie.  But I think I will retract my statement and say the movie was at best "alright".  But the performances the actresses gave in the film were nothing short of amazing.  There were so many unique characters I haven't seen Black women play in film. 

Crystal:  Let's start off with Crystal played by Kimberly Elise.  Crystal is a mother of two who is loyal to her long-time partner Beau.  Beau is an alcoholic, war veteran (Michael Ealy) that doesn't seem to like himself or his place in the world.  And in return takes his unhappiness and self loathing out on Crystal and their two kids.  But despite the abuse, Crystal is faithful to him.

Juanita:  Juanita, played by Loretta Devine, is an older lady who has been strung out on the same man that treats her bad year after year.  And she's keeps letting him back in her life time and time again.  We all know someone like this, don't we?

Yasmine:  Yasmine is played by Anika Noni Rose.  She is a a single woman in her 30's, a dance teacher, and a mentor to young girls in her community.  Yasmine's world changes drastically when she naively begins dating a man who seems just too good to be true.

Bow Wow will be starring in new comedy Lottery Ticket with Ice Cube, Terry Crews, Brandon T. Jackson, Naturi Naughton, and many more.

Synopsis:  The story of a young man living in the projects who has to survive a three-day weekend after his opportunistic neighbors find out he's holding a winning lottery ticket worth $350 million.

So now that Chris Rock has finally enjoyed some film success with the documentary Good Hair, he is now in the 'remake' business.  Rock is the producer and star of a new film, Death at a Funeral, which is a remake of the 2007 British comedy by Frank Oz.
